Jeanne Mikitka completed her concert specialization studies initially as a student of Prof. Maria Krych and subsequently under Prof. Alexandr Satz at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. She has earned prizes in numerous international competitions, included among them are the Lyssenko Competition in Kiev (1990) and the Bach Competition in Leipzig (1992). In 1996, she received the Bösendorfer Scholarship. Already during her studies, Jeanne Mikitka was a répétiteur [< Heute neutral. Früher im Englischen für Frauen auch: répétiteuse] at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, working together with Mathias Maurer (viola), Thomas Zehetmair (violin), Tibor Varga (violin) and Silvia Marcovici (violin). In the course of her extensive concert activities, she performed nationally and internationally as a soloist in various chamber music formations an as a partner of male and female singers. Jeanne Mikitka is a Professor at the Feldkirch State Conservatory as well as an accompanying pianist at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, working together with Prof. Boris Kuschnir (violin), Prof. Ida Bieler (violin) and Prof. Vahid Khadem-Missag (violin).
